Writing to Your Why, 11:00am – 12:30pm, Bond LSC Conf Room 107
Co-hosts: Research, Innovation, and Impact; Graduate School; Writing Center
Writing about your research gets easier if writers can write to their “why”: the central theme and motivation around which their work centers. An integral part of grant applications, research statements, and various other application documents, this “why” will be at the heart of this workshop. We will focus specifically on grants and research statements to look at “whys;” writers will then be invited to reflect and discuss their own. They will leave having a better idea of how to both articulate this why and how to integrate it into these documents.
This workshop is designed for postdoctoral scholars and researchers & advanced graduate students.
