Services: Wide range of editing and writing services, predominately for dissertations, thesis and research papers.  Examples include editing a novel, critiquing textbooks, proofreading articles, and creating a copy from interviews and drafts for professionals in academia and private sector occupations. Many of my clients (but not all) are non-native English speakers finishing their master’s or doctoral degrees.

Cost Estimations: Fees are based on a double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font page, with rates ranging from approximately $3.00 a page to $8.00 a page; a single fee for a project is possible depending on the level of writing.  Fees are determined by a preview of the writing and an agreement between the writer and the editor.  Turnaround time depends on the amount and depth of editing needed, but often within a week.  Currently no rush policy.

Experience: We are a diverse staff of over 30 individuals. Our doctorate-educated academic coaches and editors work in full-time professional roles (mostly in higher education) in addition to their roles as coaches and editors, giving them the combined academic and professional expertise to guide students and faculty toward the successful completion of their project.

Services: We provide writing coaching and editing support to graduate and doctoral students in education, counseling, psychology, leadership studies, and the other social and behavioral sciences, and we work with graduate/doctoral students and faculty across the country and internationally.

Cost Estimations: The general guideline is $40 per hour.The editing process can take a few days to several weeks or months, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. We work with each client to determine a project timeline that incorporates each step of the editing process and your deadlines. We advise doctoral students to start the editing process prior to or soon after the dissertation proposal defense.

My career started in journalism, and, in addition to teaching at the college level, I’ve taught English to 6th and 10th graders and written quite a few popular articles.
