Olivia completed her undergraduate degrees in English and Special Education at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, where she first discovered her love of all things Writing Center while working as an undergraduate writing consultant. After settling into a career as a high school English teacher, Olivia returned to graduate school and received her M.A. in English from Mizzou in 2020. During her master’s program, Olivia had the opportunity to return to the community as a tutor at the Mizzou Writing Center.

Currently, Olivia is pursuing an Online Educator Graduate Certificate through Mizzou’s School of Information Science & Learning Technologies, further exploring her interests in teaching, learning, and creating engaging educational experiences in online environments.

Outside of work and studies, Olivia enjoys camping, hiking, and finding beauty in the everyday chaos of life with her Person. She has a particular fondness for adding “heartbeats” to her home, which currently includes four children, three cats, two dogs, and six chickens. She’s apparently never met a living thing she didn’t want to bring home (turtles, frogs, and raccoons included).
