Audrey holds a PhD in Visual Studies with an emphasis in American art history from the University of Missouri. Her doctoral dissertation analyzes the institutional contributions of three women artist-educators who committed themselves to democratizing the 20th-century American art world. Prior to attending MU in 2018 for graduate studies, Audrey taught art to high school students in Indiana. Currently, she lives in Portland, OR, with her partner and 3 cats. When Audrey isn’t working for the Writing Center, you can find her with a small cup of coffee, reading a book, or hiking among the magnificent pine trees.
