Hi! My name is Anna.
I’m in my last year of my studies for a master’s degree in Library and Information Science with a focus on youth services. I completed my bachelor’s degrees here at Mizzou, too: BA in English and BS in Education! When I’m not at the Writing Center, I’m usually at the public library planning story times for preschoolers, the design lab here on campus 3D printing a new idea, hiking, or roller skating. Looking forward to working with you!

Audrey holds a PhD in Visual Studies with an emphasis in American art history from the University of Missouri. Her doctoral dissertation analyzes the institutional contributions of three women artist-educators who committed themselves to democratizing the 20th-century American art world. Prior to attending MU in 2018 for graduate studies, Audrey taught art to high school students in Indiana. Currently, she lives in Portland, OR, with her partner and 3 cats. When Audrey isn’t working for the Writing Center, you can find her with a small cup of coffee, reading a book, or hiking among the magnificent pine trees.

Hi, everybody!
I am Ph.D. student in English here at Mizzou! I mainly work on Contemporary American literature and theory!
I look forward to working with you here in the Writing Center!

Warm tidings, fellow Writing Center user.
My name is Don (I also go by Don Michael), and I’m a first-year Counseling Psychology Master’s student. I have an AS and BS in Psychology, and I’m currently pursuing a Pre-Doctoral Master’s to pursue a PhD in the field later. Similarly to how Ken’s job can be best summarized as beach, my hobbies involve the computer and water. Feel free to ask me all of your freshwater fish and invertebrate questions during a session with me. I look forward to meeting and working with everyone here at Mizzou!

Hello, I’m Jenna!
I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and am currently pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology. When I am not tutoring at the Writing Center, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and cooking. I’m excited to support you on your writing journey!

Hi! I’m Kacey, and I am so happy to be here.
I graduated from Mizzou with a PhD in Music Education in 2024, and am currently working as an Assistant Professor of Music Education at a small college in Alabama. I am a world traveler, a mom to fur babies and a human baby, and I love to craft! This semester I am working as a seasonal tutor in an online capacity. I am looking forward to working with you – let’s get started!

Hi, I’m Katie! I completed my undergraduate/graduate studies years ago in various subjects (e.g. education, TESOL, history, film studies, and rhetoric/composition).
Also, I’ve worked in a variety of roles in the field of education (e.g. teaching, student support/accessibility, testing/assessment, language learning, etc.). Most recently, I was able to return to the K-3 classroom and provide individualized educational support for students, which was an amazing experience!
When I’m not providing professional/academic writing support, I like to spend time with my academic spouse, first grader, and pre-Ker. We like to travel, go outdoors, and play card games.
Thanks for visiting the WC and I look forward to joining you along your writing adventures!

Hi there!
I’m Kayla, a second year PhD candidate in English Department. I have a master’s degree in Creative Writing and a bachelor’s in African American Studies, so I am familiar with writing across disciplines, especially in the humanities and social sciences. Outside of academics, I like to go to local concerts and grow my collection of vinyl records. I’m looking forward to working with you!

Hi everyone!
I’m a 2nd year PhD student in the English department. I focus on late 19th and early 20th century Transatlantic literature. As an undergrad, I studied Neuroscience and Psychology. I look forward to working with you in the Writing Center!

Hi! I’m Nate.
I’m the new full time Graduate Writing Consultant at Mizzou’s Writing Center. I’ve been working with academic writing in English at the university level since the 90s in the US, Turkey, Thailand, Spain, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, and Brazil, to name a few. So, I have extensive experience working with writers of diverse language backgrounds and varieties of English. I look forward to meeting everyone at Mizzou and working with you and your writing.

Hello, hello!
I’m Reid, a second year PhD student in the English department with an interest in dramatic literature. When I’m not in the Writing Center, I’m usually reading a mystery novel or exploring Columbia. I look forward to meeting you!

Hi! My name is Taylor.
I am currently working on my graduate certificate in higher education administration through the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis here at Mizzou. As an undergraduate student, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Spanish, as well as my minors in psychology and technical writing, at Missouri State University. I also spent several years as part of a teacher education program, and I am thrilled to have come back to graduate school to find another path for supporting students on their academic journeys. I am particularly invested in learning how to better support neurodivergent learners and students with disabilities in higher education.
When I am not studying or working at the Writing Center, I enjoy reading webcomics, watching anime, and birdwatching. I am looking forward to working with you, with the support of my feline assistants!

Hiya! Zoe here, excited to help you with all things writing! I’m a graduate student studying journalism, and I love getting to know people through their writing. When I’m not tutoring, you can find me doing the New York Times games (my record for the Mini Crossword is 12 seconds), cooking, or watching any of my favorite sit-coms. Let’s get started!
